Both teeth shown in the photo are crowns. One become very infected & needed to be removed & replaced with a bridge due to the deterioration of the bone. The other just looked bad.
My first experience with Dr. Stamas was an emergency. He waited for me to arrive and then spent 2 hrs taking care of me. I have been a dental hygienist for forty plus years so I have high expectations of dental care. I am currently an adjunct professional at the dental school. Dr, Stamas was patient, kind and truly professional in treating me and I know (from experience) his thoughtful diagnosis and treatment for the situation. His injections are wonderful and he is conservative and cautious. Yet he allowed me the freedom to think through his care and make my own decisions. His hands are gentle, his staff is kind and efficient and his professional ability outstanding. I am thrilled to be in his care.
Dr. Stamas and his staff are outstanding! The office is beautiful and very relaxing. You know you are in good hands when the dentist asks right away "Am I hurting you?" Not once did I feel any pain and left the office in good spirits. The Oconomowoc office location is very peaceful. For you city dwellers, make the drive to Oconomowoc and see Dr. Tom Stamas for all your dental hygiene and dental work. You will be as happy as me! The staff is super helpful and friendly too. Heck, even if you are not a patient, stop by and grab a one-cup at a time freshly made Starbucks cup of coffee. Just tell them I sent you! That machine is very expensive and makes wonderful piping hot coffee (reg or decaf).
I highly recommend his clinic for any dental work anyone needs!
Spent over 10k with this guy over a few years yet the one thing he messed up he would not stand by. Four other Dentists all said what happened. Things happen and I understand that. I would have even been fine with paying half to get it fixed.
I don't even know where to begin! Beautiful clinic to walk in to w/beverages awaiting your arrival in the reception area. It was by far the best clinic I've ever been to & had work done! From Donna's pleasant welcome & assisting me with insurance & background info. To Cassie the Dentist Assistant who was so caring & compassionate! As Dr said "she's the bomb" (which I definetely agree) Offering me blankets, water, asking if I need time to get up & stretch or use the bathroom, finding something on tv for me, & so much more! What a great staff to have by your side for such unpleasant work being done! Then Dr.Stamas, just as caring & compassionate as his staff! He made sure I was more than comfortable the almost 3 hour long procedure because I needed more work than I thought, offered breaks, more numbing agents, & he went way above & beyond w/services! They were so great to me it literally had me in tears. The work he did is nothing less than PERFECT & he has every latest & greatest tool in his office to assist them in perfection! Trish who helped me with the financials was just as kind & caring as all the other staff! The kids & I will definitely be utilizing all of there services from now on.
Yet this guys offers only 400 off & has me sit in his office for 30 minutes after I set up an appointment to talk with him and stands me up.
It was my wife's dentist so I wanted to get caught up and make sure I understood both sides.
I thought it was going to be a great experience and a wonderful dentist! At first it was, everyone was really friendly and Tom was very personable. Now 5,000 dollars later after all of my root canals and fillings they all have to be redone because they were not properly done the first time. It's just very disappointing that you trust a healthcare professional to make good decisions for you and they completely mislead you. I work as a health care professional and just easily trusted without doing my research. Looking back I would have been weary of the phoney persona this company puts forth. They also sent multiple bills for the same procedure after I had already paid for the procedure. Therefore they were trying to bill me twice, thank god I keep track of my bills! If you are going there please rethink that because you don't want to have to pay extra money and have to go through a agonizing procedure more than once!
